TU CMAT Nepal: What It Is and Where to Start
TU CMAT Nepal is the Central Management Admission Test used by Tribhuvan University’s Faculty of Management for specified undergraduate programmes. If you are considering a TU BBA or a related management degree, begin by checking the programme’s entrance and admission requirements. This guide concerns undergraduate entry in Nepal. TU CMAT Nepal: which programmes should I check?
The current 2026 undergraduate re-entrance notice lists BBA, BBM, BITM, BPA, BHM, BTTM, BBA-F and BMS. Use the current programme name when searching or completing an application. Choose a degree by looking at its subjects, teaching approach and fit with your interests. A familiar abbreviation or an attractive college advertisement is only a starting point. Write down the programmes you are considering, then ask each campus for its current curriculum and admission information.
What will I need to prepare?
TU’s BBA curriculum identifies four areas: Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness. Together they test a broader set of skills than mathematics alone. TU BBA curriculum, admission section

Do not conclude that you are “bad at CMAT” from one unfamiliar question. Identify the exact skill involved. An arithmetic slip calls for a different response from a missing concept or a misread instruction.

Your route from interest to admission
1. Identify your university and programme
Keep the exact university, degree and preferred campus in a small planning sheet. This prevents you from following the wrong entrance notice. If you are comparing universities, keep a separate checklist for each admission route.
2. Check eligibility before paying
Compare your academic records with the current official notice. Ask the campus about any unclear grade, equivalence or document issue. Save its response with your application records rather than relying on an informal social-media answer.
3. Complete the correct application process
Start from the Faculty of Management notice board. Read the cycle and programme names before following an application link. Save your confirmation and payment evidence, and check whether the application needs campus verification. Make a note of the student deadline separately from any deadline given to colleges.
4. Prepare and check exam instructions
Use short practice sessions to find weaknesses, then review the methods behind your answers. As the test approaches, confirm your own centre, reporting instructions and required materials through the current official route. An old model paper cannot establish this year’s exam-day rules.
5. Follow the college’s selection process

A useful first-week routine
Begin with a small amount of work you can review properly. On the first day, sample all four areas. For the next few days, study one weak concept and practise it with fresh questions. Keep reading and vocabulary work regular instead of leaving English until the end.
At the end of the week, revisit mistakes without opening the solutions. Record whether you can now explain the method. If the same error returns, reduce the difficulty and rebuild that step. Counting completed questions alone can hide gaps in understanding.
Questions students often ask
Is preparation only about learning formulas?
No. Formulas help when you understand the quantities and conditions. You also need careful reading, reasoning and a habit of checking information. Explain why a method works before trying to make it faster.
Should I choose a college before starting preparation?
You can begin foundational study while comparing colleges. Keep admission research moving alongside practice so you do not overlook a form, verification step or interview deadline.
