What this section tests
The official CMAT structure assigns 25 objective questions to General Awareness. Prepare broadly across Nepal, institutions, economy, business, society and significant current developments.
Build two connected notebooks
Static foundation
Organise Nepal geography, constitutional institutions, history, culture and heritage; major international organisations; basic business and economic terms; and science or technology concepts relevant to public life.
Dated current affairs
For appointments, awards, rankings, policies, economic figures and international events, record the event date, publication date and source. Recheck facts close to the exam.
Use a reliable source ladder
Start with government, constitutional body, central bank, international organisation or original institutional sources. Use reputable reporting for context. Treat anonymous posts and undated lists as prompts to verify, not as final evidence.

Keep the relevant source, your own checklist and your study notes together. Recheck changing facts before you act.
A practical weekly routine
- Review one Nepal foundation topic.
- Record five dated current-affairs facts with sources.
- Revise one business or economy concept.
- Answer a short mixed quiz without notes.
- Recheck every wrong or disputed answer at the source.
An original mini example
Question: Which institution issues Nepalese currency? Answer: Nepal Rastra Bank. This is a stable institutional fact, but a question about the current office-holder must carry a date and should be rechecked.

Avoid stale-answer traps
Words such as current, latest, recent and present require a date. Keep dated facts separate from permanent definitions. When two sources disagree, prefer the original institution and the newest applicable publication.
